The job of a firewall is to carefully examine incoming and outgoing data in the network-based configuration. It blocks the information that comes from an unsecured, unidentified or suspicious locations. A firewall plays a significant role on any network as it provides a defensive barrier against most forms of attack approaching from the outside world.
